KORU BASIC MINDFULNESS WORKSHOP (for general public)

Are you new to mindfulness or want to go back to basics? Koru Basic is a small group workshop, held over 4 weeks, and includes instruction for mindfulness meditation and body/mind practices to improve well-being. Koru is an evidence-based curriculum, developed at Duke University for emerging adults, that has been shown to decrease stress, improve sleep, and cultivates mindfulness and self-compassion.

Location: ​The Koru Basic workshop will be offered in Fort Collins twice in Fall 2017.

Workshop 1: Tuesdays, September 26-October 17, 6:15-7:30pm
Workshop 2: Tuesdays, October 24- November 7, 6:15-7:30pm​

Workshop Details:

Time: 6:15pm – 7:30pm

  • 75-minute weekly sessions, with meditation, discussion, mind/body skills and mindfulness training.
  • Weekly emails to encourage daily mindfulness practice
  • Participants will need a copy of Jon Kabat-Zinn’s- Wherever You Go, There You Are.
